How to Manage the Serials Budget in Today's Climate

Abstract

Serials inflation is not a new problem.  The situation is now so serious that research and college libraries are reporting materials budgets with serials purchases consuming seventy to eighty percent of the funds, while monographic purchases have been reducd by an estimated twenty percent since 1985.
